Dining room at Pure Spirits Oyster House & Grill, Toronto, canadaPure Spirits Oyster House & Grill is located in a 130-year-old former barrel shipping room in the historic Distillery District. Executive chef Eric Pless’s menu focuses on seafood but also offers interpretations of comfort foods. A version of the Canadian diner dish poutine comes topped with chicken gravy and Prince Edward country goat cheese curds (smoked chicken, double smoked bacon or fried oysters can also be added). Main dishes include Dungeness crab macaroni and cheese with roast corn and Ontario cheddar, and seared Great Lakes whitefish with warm goat cheese, red onion and tomato salad. Diners can also enjoy a variety of oysters, with select oysters priced at $1.50 each all day on Tuesdays. The wine list features local vintners, and there are also beers from Mill St. Brewery next door.
