Purple Cafe & Wine Bar Restaurant Review: As Purple Café’s original outpost, this Woodinville hot-spot is credited with bringing the area one of its first destinations to enjoy wine and food pairings. The menu proposes various cheese plates along with soups, salads, sandwiches, pastas, pizzas and entrées. Pasta favorites include lobster mac 'n' cheese, while pizzas offer contemporary toppings such as white balsamic chicken with artichokes. Traditional entrées range between land and sea choices, like seared albacore tuna with cauliflower-fennel purée and preserved Meyer lemon. For dessert, order the butterscotch bread pudding crowned with smoked almond brittle. Of course, the entire experience centers on the extensive wine list, which covers European products but draws heavily on Northwest vintners. Flights, glasses and bottles are available. Servers are always pleased to answer questions and provide assistance with navigating the wine selections.
