Purple Room Restaurant Review:

If there’s one thing everyone loves it’s a comeback, especially one filled with Hollywood lore. Say hello to the return of Purple Room, a popular ’60s swinging supper club where Frank, Dean, Sammy and the gang would eat, drink, play and frolic. While the ghosts of nightclub pasts seem to linger, this is a new hangout that embraces the verve of a bygone era with a twist of contemporary coolness. Expect live entertainment, celebrity sightings, a supper club menu with plenty of small plates and thick steaks, and drinks that are shaken and stirred. We’re guessing cool cats from a half-century ago probably noshed on many of the current menu items, such as the fried oysters, pork chop, ribs and bread pudding. Other dishes, like hummus, ceviche and the arugula salad, feel more Angelina Jolie than Angie Dickenson. If you enjoy live music, then Purple Room will have you applauding, with bands and shows taking to the stage every night of the week.
