THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Putney Bridge Restaurant Review:

Location counts for a lot with restaurants, and they don’t come any more ’riverside’ than this: the award-winning modernist architecture of Putney Bridge looks out over the Thames and the solid span of its namesake. The spacious ground floor is agreeably smart, with doormen, coat-takers, a decent cocktail list and terrace seating in the summer; while the first floor has the best views and a French restaurant. Anthony Demetre’s dishes are in the Contemporary European mould, but often use hautey flourishes and luxury ingredients: for example, fillet of zander is served with young vegetables, but the sauce is infused with juniper berries. Starters might include duck confit and foie gras with a creamed walnut dressing; while puddings might include a quince tarte with lemon-thyme ice cream. Set 3-course lunch £19.50; set 3-course a la carte dinner £35, 5-course Menu Gourmande £50.
