Queen City Grill Restaurant Review: Decades before the neighborhood became today's hip and trendy Belltown, Queen City Grill established itself on the corner of First and Blanchard. Housed in a restored 1907 building, the menu features Pacific Northwest seafood and classics with a regional twist. Seafood fans make this a destination and enjoy the selection of smaller bites, including seasonal local oysters from various Pike Place Market vendors, or grilled prawns, pan-seared scallops and crab cakes. Clam chowder is a menu mainstay, but be sure to ask about the daily specials. Entrées have featured wild Alaska halibut sautéed with vine-ripened tomatoes and capers, or rainbow trout paired with roasted garlic-chipotle butter. Enhancing the experience is an extensive Pacific Northwest-focused wine list. Sweet endings include a sourdough bread pudding and vanilla ice cream topped with mixed nuts and a creamy caramel sauce. Service is professional and efficient.
