Cora Cotrim started her ice cream business with a push cart and some great recipes. Now in addition to operating the push cart, she has a brick-and-mortar location that's bright with white walls and plenty of light. We remember fondly the corn flakes ice cream with sundry other stuff served at the Atlanta Lobster Festival in Candler Park that we thought couldn't possibly taste good, but it did. We find that her best flavors are those at the edge, such as the lemon meringue, which seems to have bits of baked pie dough folded in. Chocolate, coffee and vanilla bean are good, but not nearly as compelling. Go for the burnt sugar caramel, too. Espresso is available. Birmingham-based Revolution Coffee is the java brand of choice.
