THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED NAMES Quinto Quarto Restaurant Review:

Housed in an attractive exposed-brick space in the West Village, this Italian restaurant is named for the “fifth part,” the erstwhile unsavory parts of an animal that were often handed out to slaughterhouse workers in Rome’s Testaccio neighborhood as pay. But unadventurous eaters should be undeterred: the menu doesn’t boast a lot of offal or nose-wrinkling dishes that are well known in Roman cuisine. The pasta dishes, generously affordable, are done well enough to remind any diner of their last visit to Rome and their favorite salt-of-the-earth trattoria. The bucatini all’amatriciana, a tomato and pancetta dish with a hint of sweetness, and not often found in New York, would make a real Roman sing. For something heartier, the sage-touched baked rabbit is nicely done. The wine list, naturally, leans heavily on Italy (including a decent house wine served by the carafe).
