R.J. Grunt's Restaurant Review

: This place hasn't changed a bit over the last few decades. In fact, this remains little more than a small bar with worn, hard booths and tables. It was a funky place back in the '70s, and it still pleases in an old-shoe sort of way. The home of the original salad bar, it also serves some mighty fine burgers --- especially the one topped with fire-roasted poblanos, cheddar and chipotle mayo. Get a mound of wings or Buffalo shrimp, super-hot, to go with. Don't expect anything even close to fine dining (many of the menu items are served in a basket or on a tray); knowing that, you won't be disappointed. Don’t forget to order a hand-dipped shake, such as the creamy caramel and Dreamsicle.
