THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Rabbit in the Moon Restaurant Review:
Walking into this gastropub on 8th Street feels like you’ve stumbled upon a private club. There is sometimes a bouncer out in front, which doesn’t have the restaurant’s name on the (fake) ivy-covered façade. And you have to go through two doors to actually get inside. Fortunately, the service here is friendly. The menu is, as one would expect, meaty and comforting: the house-made ricotta gnocchi are soft to the point of being mushy, but that’s not a bad thing. The seared scallops are nicely cooked, brown on each end and still juicy in the middle. And the salt-encrusted rib-eye could almost match up with that of the Minetta Tavern’s, just a couple blocks away. Pub classics like fish ‘n’ chips and burgers also are available. There are a few beers on tap (both local and British) as well as a sizeable cocktail list.
