The pink, chocolate, mauve and beige color scheme is almost as colorful as the Indian spices on display in tall glass cases at Rasa Indian Cuisine (formerly Chola). The elegant, contemporary and spacious setting with its etched silver tin panel ceiling is lit by hanging lotus flower shaped lamps in matching tones. It's an ideal setting in which to enjoy the menu’s eclectic Indian cuisine and British-Indian style curries and kebabs. Mulligatawny soup (yellow lentil with lemon and ginger) or the ginger rasam soup (tamarind lentil with curry leaves) prepare the appetite for the hearty fare to follow. Entrées like the Kerala fish moilee (pan-grilled fish of the day with coconut and ginger) are delicately flavored with sweet/spice accents. British-inspired curries, such as the lamb madras, a spicy curry with coconut, dry red chilies and curry leaves, give diners a taste of Indian flavors on the other side of the Atlantic. The milky, classic Indian drink lassi offsets the spiciness of some of the dishes.
