THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED LOCATIONS The Ravenous Cafe & Lounge Restaurant Review

: This tenacious eatery in a cozy bungalow not far from the square makes you believe you’ve been invited over to a friend’s for supper. Dim mood lighting feels warmer from carrot colored walls and candlelight, though bring your spectacles to decipher the menu’s cursive scrawl. Its heart seems in the right place: portions skew hearty for Ravenous diners; there’s an amiable bar for snappy cocktails; a tucked-away back patio to chill at lunchtime; well-chosen, often local ingredients. Guests may swoon for certain dishes: crab cakes with cilantro-ginger aïoli, tender lamb, and an ace cheeseburger tend to captivate. Unfortunately, there’s inconsistency in execution. Seasoning may have a too-heavy or too-light touch, and some dishes seem under-realized. The same can be said of the waitstaff’s attentiveness. Avoid cramped tables by the door.
