Red Kitchen & Bar Restaurant Review

: Wake up to the flavors of the Show-Me State at this hip restaurant, located in the Hyatt Regency St. Louis at The Arch. The à la carte breakfast menu starts off with a regional twist on eggs Benedict --- barbecue pork instead of ham --- and highlights both local producers’ ingredients, from goat cheese to bread to sausage, and exotic flavors, like steel-cut oats with pineapple chutney and coconut milk. For lunch and dinner, be sure to sample Mama Toscano’s toasted ravioli, an Italian-inspired St. Louis delicacy, and Salume Beddu’s Mediterranean-style charcuterie. The kitchen contributes some nice touches, too, such as herbs grown on the rooftop garden and house-smoked pastrami. Meanwhile, the bar stocks spirits distilled in Missouri and Illinois. Servers are well-versed on food (we second their recommendations of the tomato bisque and the bread pudding) as well as nearby attractions.
