THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Red Moon Restaurant Review:

The Red Moon menu, inspired by the street food of Asia, seems to fit right into the downtown loft district. A discreetly small neon sign and the side-street location are reminiscent of some of San Francisco's happy secrets, and the interior, with its mix of Art Deco and contemporary, leans toward that city, too. The crowd is led by the young, hip-to-fashionable, but the mix shows evidence of casually dressed ordinary folks as well. The food is portioned for sharing, and the menu tilts slightly toward first courses of all sorts. Steamed mussels' seasoning includes sambal oelek, and they're topped with two large slices of grilled bread---not Asian but wise, given the delicious broth. Desserts waver back and forth between Savoy and Singapore. Service can be a little chaotic on busy nights. Attention is paid to the cocktail menu, with some exotica on offer.
