THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Redfish, a Creole Bistro Restaurant Review

: THIS ESTABLISHMENT IS CLOSED Gregg Herndon (formerly of Tiburon Grille) blends Southern and Cajun fare at this casual spot that almost makes you feel like you've caught a plane to Lafayette, Louisiana. Your first query needs to be if there are soft-shell crabs available, as Herndon manages to find the biggest ever. Here you can reconnect with his wild salmon soufflé, a most ingenious signature dish that adorns a slice of salmon with the soufflé and lets it ride a mound of fresh spinach. His cast-iron skillet fried chicken is another item drawn from Tiburon, as are his collard greens. Fried oysters with house-made rémoulade, crawfish cake and jambalaya are all spot-on. Vegetarians may raid the side dishes for their selections. For dessert, snag either the bread pudding or the chocolate mousse, and there’s also peanut butter pie. The wine list roams the planet, and supplies selections one wouldn't typically see in such a casual spot. We think a rosé is the ideal choice with this fare, and there always is one good one.
