Redondo Beach Brewing Company is known for its house-crafted beer and lengthy menu. The downstairs dining area resembles a pub, with brick walls, a long wooden bar and metal tanks for conditioning the beer. Upstairs offers a less rowdy environment, with a small, white-walled dining room and a patio overlooking the Riviera Village and Pacific Ocean. Beers on draft rotate often, dictated by brewmaster Greg Schneider’s creations. Springtime options include the Manhattan Beach Blonde and Pier Pale Ale, while winter brings a smoky stout. Pizzas, pastas and burgers, as well as items off the grill, are available. The hickory burger, with onions rings, cheddar and barbecue sauce, is particularly hearty, while the vaquero steak, marinated in tangerine and tequila, is a somewhat lighter option. Classic fish ‘n’ chips, bratwurst steamed in the restaurant’s own beer, and a crispy artichoke with lemon aïoli are other popular items. For dessert, we suggest the apple pie with vanilla ice cream.
