: This mecca of southern soul food boasts a sleek, impressive exterior but is hard to miss unless you're in the know. If you're determined to seek it out then dress to impress and keep your eyes peeled for celebrities. One likely sighting may be Reign owner Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Keyshawn Johnson, the guiding influence behind the menu, which is prepared perfectly by executive chef Richard Petty. The atmosphere of the restaurant and its coveted VIP room has toned down a bit since the doors opened and velvet ropes guarded the entrance. The clean, contemporary design remains and so does the soul food, which seems out of place in the modern interior but keeps the Beverly Hills elite coming back for more. Try the fried green tomatoes or outstanding crab cakes to start. The entrée menu weighs heavily upon poultry and the country fried chicken may be too salty for some but has become the usual for others. Other notable dishes include the Chilean sea bass served with risotto and tiger shrimp, and hickory-smoked barbecue chicken smothered in sauce. Many entrées come with your choice of side dishes that also show off the simple but comforting southern cuisine: collard greens and macaroni and cheese, among others. Desserts include sweet potato pie, banana cream pie and Oreo cookie cheesecake.
