 The Remington Restaurant Restaurant Review: The Remington Restaurant continues in high style, updated in romantic red interior hues. While many contemporary restaurants like to dazzle with a small selection of signature dishes, the Remington offers a long list of classics. Throwbacks like watercress sandwiches, whole-leaf Caesar salad and lobster-crab bisque will make you feel like you're dining at the Plaza or even the Brown Derby. And the Remington is not without celebrity-movie stars who have been spotted enjoying prosciutto carpaccio (sliced so thin they could almost read their scripts through it) with Spanish cheese and first-pressed olive oil, or noshing from the seafood brunch buffet. Entrées include black-pepper scallops with fettuccine and toasted garlic, mesquite-baked salmon with fennel-citrus slaw, and seared duck breast with polenta. There’s an impressive California-heavy wine list to match. Check out the tea lounge (reservations required) for an afternoon respite. |
