Off-the Strip, comfortable Russian eatery.
THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Restaurant Eliseevsky Restaurant Review:
Designed to replicate a dining room in a suburban home in Russia, this rustic restaurant is a relaxing place to dine. The owners boast that they serve “truly ethnic Russian cuisine, the only one in Las Vegas.” Don’t bet against them; they just might be right. We recommend the appetizers of salmon marinated in Cognac and Merchant’s herring with dill complemented by butter and boiled potatoes. Grilled sturgeon served in a skillet with mushrooms in cream sauce and golden potatoes, and beef Stroganoff grilled in sour cream and onions and mushrooms accompanied by roasted buckwheat blinis are standout entrées. Desserts include a chefs’ special of prunes stuffed with walnuts, served with orange and cherry sauce, and warm crêpes with vanilla ice cream and raspberry sauce. Natalya Grozovskaya sings on Friday and Saturday evenings; a DJ turns on the music on Saturdays from midnight to 1 a.m.
