THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Restaurant Florent Restaurant Review:

At 3 a.m., the music is pumping and a varied crowd---often from drag queens to club kids---is dining on French fare like onion soup, frites, steamed mussels, pâté and boudin noir. Open 24 hours on weekends and until 5 a.m. during the week, this funky retro-'40s diner in the way-West Village is a beloved eatery to many, and was the first to set up shop in the now fashionable Meatpacking District. If you keep late hours in New York, it is inevitable that sooner of later you'll end up dining at Florent. Though nothing about the food is exceptional, it's the kind of place that makes New York the city that never sleeps. As a bonus, the prices can't be beat, especially the $26 three-course prix-fixe menu with lots of choices ($23 before 7:30 p.m.) and the wine offerings at less than $20.
