| The architecture and the décor evoke a French bistro of another era; the menu reflects these sensibilities as well, albeit with some modern twists courtesy of chef-owner Michael Carrino. Try his memorable signature halibut---fresh, elegant and beautifully plated. We also recommend the braised scallops arranged on a bit of mushroom fricassée with a small salad of baby greens dress in a tarragon beurre blanc. Although rarely menu stars, soups here excel. Unexpected and exotic is the rich and flavorful potage of Madras curry, roasted apples and peas. In season, the ginger-infused roasted butternut squash bisque warms the soul. The menu changes seasonally and depends entirely on the chef’s inspiration. Restaurant Passionné is a BYOB, so do yourself a favor and bring one of your best bottles---the food deserves it. |
