 Restaurant Toulouse Restaurant Review: Set in the heart of West Michigan's arts community, Saugatuck, and just a stone's throw away from Lake Michigan, Restaurant Toulouse offers country French cooking in a romantic setting. A turn-of-the-century former fire station, the restaurant has sage green walls adorned with French art posters, and a winter chill is quickly forgotten before the dining room's central fireplace. Toulouse's signature dish is its cassoulet; you'll also find seafood options and a nod to American tastes with tender steaks and pasta dishes. In summer, Thursday evening live jazz nights are a big draw. Expect a notable wine list from which to choose a bottle to accompany the fare. Hours are limited during winter. |
