Robuchon is one of the legendary few who made contemporary
gastronomy what it is today. Were we to compare cooking
to painting, he would be one of the very first impressionists,
a Manet of the ovens. We cheered when the man we named “Chef
of the Century” came out of retirement, and were thrilled
when the opening of his first American restaurant at the
MGM Grand Hotel & Casino showed that he hasn’t
lost his touch.
