Washington, D.C. is a city fueled by non-stop newsmakers, and this restaurant has been a see-and-be-seen hot spot since its opening three years ago in the Mandarin Oriental hotel. Executive chef Eric Ziebold, formerly of Spago and The French Laundry, created a stir upon his arrival and has justified the buzz with his consistently inventive seasonal cooking, enhanced by the finely-tuned, spot-on service.
