Restauration Restaurant Review

: The starkly shaded interior is compact, featuring just enough pops of color to fit in with its location along Retro Row. The small room gives way to a spacious backyard patio enveloped by plants and coverings, all of which produces an effortless ambience that beckons you to relax over a craft beer or two. A contemporary menu blends the familiar with a few unexpected delights. Starters like the rabbit and apple sausage with smoked white bean purée or the wood-grilled Spanish octopus demonstrate an adventurous streak, while the Brussels sprouts with fried egg and pickled Fresno peppers put a refreshing spin on usual New American suspects. Entrées such as the roasted cauliflower with spiced beluga lentils are ideal for light dining. Those who want more substantial fare might enjoy the braised diver scallops and pork belly duo or a pizza fired up in the outdoor oven. Be sure to save room for the huckleberry beignets.
