Rexo Restaurant Review:

Rexo is a perennially trendy bar and restaurant, with an accent on the bar. A resolutely contemporary space, all glass and metallic black, it is split onto three levels. In the evening hours, Rexo is almost always full, with young and youngish professionals, bohemians and those that aspire to be around such people. After dark, the music tends to be cranked up, so be prepared to shout. Yet in the afternoon Rexo is quiet, full of light and sparsely populated. As pleasant as it is, Rexo’s afternoon traffic may be as slow as it is because the food simply isn’t terribly inspiring. If expectations are set low, however, an experience here can be quite pleasant. Among the best bets from the kitchen are zucchetti, an appetizer of sliced zucchini, Parmesan cheese and almonds; the croquetas de risotto, fried rice balls with mushrooms and cheese; and an entrecôte with béarnaise sauce. Salmon grilled with fine herbs is also nice, but make sure to advise that you don’t want it overcooked.
