THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Rick's Cafe Americain Restaurant Review:

It's irresistible. Rick's Café Americain takes its theme from---you guessed it---Casablanca, captured in ways subtle and not so, from the TV monitor at the far end of the bar that runs an endless loop of the movie to the colorful murals that evoke the shifting sands of the North African desert. There's even a painted love letter from Rick to Ilsa to sound the romantic note. The theme continues on the menu, with dishes like Ilsa's Calfornia melt and Ugarte's turkey and Swiss. Victor Laslo's shrimp salad was superb, with plump shrimp in a lightly spiced dressing. On the dinner menu you'll find more substantial fare, with coconut shrimp, Moroccan -spiced grilled lamb chops and penne with chicken, andouille sausage and fresh spinach leading the charge. Portions are large, service is friendly, and the atmosphere is charming.
