| A moving, funky version of fast-food Rickshaw Dumpling Bar in the Flatiron District (and the brainchild of chef Anita Lo, though she is no longer directly involved), the red truck offers little more than steamed dumplings at relatively high prices. The truck peddles Chinese dumplings to hungry pedestrians and serves up a pared-down menu of chicken and Thai basil, pork and Chinese chive, and edamame versions. This healthier alternative to other Asian food trucks is best enjoyed with spicy peanut, soy-sesame, or lemon-sansho dipping sauce to bring out the somewhat tame flavors of the fillings. |
