Ristorante Panorama Restaurant Review: Ristorante Panorama, the second restaurant of the Sena family, who also own La Famiglia, offers a décor and cuisine that evoke leisurely meals of homemade pasta and an abundance of good wine. Have an antipasto misto of imported meats and cheeses with roasted peppers and marinated eggplant, followed by gnocchi Bolognese or a half-order of one or two of the other homemade pasta dishes. The veal chop is pounded and filled with figs and served in a Gorgonzola reduction. The wine list includes 120 wines available by the glass from the specially built cruvinet. Sample a flight of wine in the candlelit Il Bar, a dimly-lit spot ideal for trysting. For extra-special private affairs, reserve the wine cellar. Happy hour (Sun.-Fri., 5 p.m.-7 p.m.) in the wine bar presents good deals, with $5 off wine flights, $5 wines by the glass, $4 beer, $6 cocktails and half-off all appetizers, including a pairing of goat cheese, smoked salmon and baby arugula. |
