 Ristorante Rumari Restaurant Review: The Crivello family has been running this Italian seafood bistro by the sea for a couple of decades now. The restaurant is located right on PCH in a quaint block of independent shops, and looks the part with a red-tiled roof, brick walls and vines crawling up wooden trellises. Inside, there’s that comforting patina of aged white-washed walls along with old-world touches like heavy wood beams, white tablecloths, romantic seating and antique chandeliers that cast soft light. Chef Vincent Crivello prepares simple, rustic dishes that truly satisfy, including a quartet of risotto selections and his signature black linguine pasta, quick-baked in foil with chopped Manila clams and tiger shrimp in a tomato and brandy sauce. There’s also a handful of martinis and a decent wine list, filled mostly with bottles from California, France and, naturally, Italy. |
