THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Ristorante Salute Restaurant Review:

We have an automatic soft spot for any restaurant with Sinatra on the sound system, but Salute has earned our fondness over the years in other ways. We love the antique sideboard groaning under plates of marinated vegetables and the quaint aura of an old-fashioned seaside village that the décor evokes. A forkful of smoked salmon and pea-flecked fettuccine in a subtle brandy-laced cream sauce suggests that little has changed here even though the ownership has over the years. Pizzas, built on thin but chewy crusts, are very good. The standard chicken and veal preparations may not rise above average but all entrées come with Caesar salad and minestrone. For dessert, what else but tiramisu, not only because this is where we first tasted it but because it’s still outstanding.
