The wood-topped tables of RivaBella suggest the setting of a simple Italian taverna, but this is an impressive, sprawling space encompassing a brick room with vaulted ceilings and a beautiful patio crowned by a retractable roof. There’s also a sophisticated bar area that deserves to be a meeting place in itself. The restaurant is the result of a partnership with chef Gino Angelini (Angelini Osteria) and Innovative Dining Group (IDG --- BOA Steakhouse, Katana, Sushi Roku), with executive chef Luigi Fineo at the helm in the kitchen. Look for antipasti (sea bream crudo, chef’s choice pizza), salads, pastas (porcini risotto, bucatini carbonara) and secondi ranging from grilled whole branzino to veal chop Milanese. Tiramisu and gelato provide classic endings to your meal. The wine list emphasizes California and Italian varietals.
