The River Palm Terrace Restaurant Review: This is the epitome of the American steakhouse: few decorative embellishments, hardwood floors, a no-nonsense but impressive staff and Prime steaks, chops and seafood prepared simply and served in generous portions. One of the regular menu standouts is the natural veal chop---a Flintstone-size cut, lean, sweet and served sans sauce or heavy seasoning that might interfere with the enjoyment of its natural good taste. Nightly seafood specials can be intriguing, such as the sautéed Chilean sea bass Provençal or the pistachio-crusted mahi mahi with honey mustard sauce. Sushi is available as well. In addition to its carefully selected and fairly priced wine list, The River Palm bar features an array of specialty drinks such as the Key lime martini. Desserts are few, but worthy; the chocolate banana cream pie is the consummate indulgence.
