Rivoli Restaurant Restaurant Review: The unassuming exterior of this little treasure on the Berkeley/Albany border belies the enticing aromas and flavors that wait inside. For instance, the staff can't remove certain menu items like the portobello mushroom fritters with lemon aïoli without enduring a slew of complaints from regulars. Some of our favorite starters are the house-smoked trout and the Caesar salad. Excellent entrées include roasted chicken breast, top sirloin with crispy gnocchi and the lovely lobster sausage. For dessert, temptations like a hot fudge sundae are hard to resist. At the back of the small restaurant is a wall of glass that looks out on an enclosed garden. |
