THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Robert Irvine's Public House Restaurant Review:

About the restaurant & décor: Located just off of the Tropicana casino, this casual spot is the first Las Vegas restaurant from celebrity chef Robert Irvine, who is famous for Food Network shows "Dinner: Impossible" and "Restaurant: Impossible." The spacious interior provides an opportunity for people watching, with large windows looking out into the casino and the Strip. White brick throughout is joined with a multi-grain hardwood floor, hues of orange and stars on the walls to represent Irvine’s close connection to the military.

Likes: Most restaurants on the Strip don’t feature a children’s menu, but here you will find kid favorites such as mac ‘n cheese, chicken tenders, a cheeseburger and pizza.
Dislikes: Although the beer menu lists options by region, it would help patrons quickly spot the locally-brewed choices by identifying them with a symbol or color.

Food & Drinks: A star of the menu is the poutine: tater tots topped with pulled pork, shiitake onion gravy and peppered goat cheese. We also like the heirloom tomatoes and grilled ciabatta with avocado purée, lemon ricotta and tomato vinaigrette. The array of pizzas is well represented with the prosciutto pie enhanced with fig jam, goat cheese and arugula. Entrées are large portions, like the shepherd’s pie with ground lamb, peas and mashed potato crust; and the F&K Fondue burger, named for the utensils you will need to eat the colossal-sized Black Angus burger loaded with Camembert, mushrooms, onions and bacon. Finish with an English treat: banoffee pie with bananas, toffee and espresso ice cream. As the restaurant’s motto is “There is no greater happiness than a full pint and a full plate,” it should come as no surprise that the beer menu lists more than 100 choices, including local beers such as Tenaya Creek Bonanza Brown Ale. Among the breakfast specials, served weekends from 9:30 a.m.-2 p.m., are chicken and waffles and a breakfast BLT stacked with maple pepper bacon, sunny side up egg, tomato and hot syrup.
