| One of the town’s first brewpubs, it continues to draw large numbers of mall lunchers, tourists and on-the-way-to-the-game meal seekers. Diners here can count on a dependable brewpub food and great service, the meals stretching from basic and above-average brewpub grub to entrées that come close to near-fine dining fare. A meal here is a no-surprises experience that makes up in steadiness what it sometimes lacks in flavor. We come here for pre-game bites and late night pints, treats that come fast and furious for on-the-go diners and drinkers. Local beer nuts sometimes write-off Rock Bottom’s beer as too mainstreamed, but we think that’s a big mistake. The house seasonal and small-batch beers are very good, as are the cask models. There’s also a fine selection of spirits for the brew-phobic. |
