At Rock Bottom, the draws are an in-house brewery that turns out beers, ales and stout, and an atmosphere that stresses fun and high spirits. Live music, pool tables and frequent happy hour specials add to the scene’s good nature. The menu is unfocused and vast, but we doubt the crowd minds. Burgers are popular (especially the "bourbonzola" burger with Jim Beam glaze and Gorgonzola), as are the many comfort foods --- try the buttermilk-fried chicken with white cheddar mashed potatoes and slaw, or the meatloaf made with Angus beef and Italian sausage. Rock Bottom is ideal for casual get-togethers or post-Padres partying.
