THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Rockfish Seafood Grill Restaurant Review:
Rockfish Seafood Grill is part of a small chain but it doesn't feel like a chain restaurant. It has a great location and a terrific view of the Sandia Mountains, but the food is a draw as well. Some favorites are the terrific fish tacos, made with crisply fried filets wrapped in warm flour tortillas and spiked with a chipotle mayonnaise, and the outstanding Mexican-style shrimp cocktail. The shrimp cocktail is mixed at your table in a martini shaker---with or without a shot of gold tequila---and served in a tall martini glass surrounded by red, blue and yellow tortilla chips. Though it's an appetizer, it's almost a full meal. Other specialties include planked salmon, fried oysters and a changing selection of fresh fish. Rockfish has a charming, log cabin look and a fly-fishing theme that's sure to hook you in.
