This Westchester-based burger place joins the lineup of fancy fast food joints on 8th Street. The menu is extensive, offering make-your-own salads, chicken and steak sandwiches, barbecue ribs, non-greasy sweet potato fries, and shakes. But most people gravitate here for the burgers---and not the “boring burgers,” as it says on the menu for the regular hamburger and cheeseburger. Rockwell’s lets you choose four ingredients for the build-your-own burgers section of the menu---jalapeños, tomatoes, bacon, etc.---and then they mix it into the patty before it’s cooked. Even ketchup is mixed in if you choose it as one of your four ingredients. The result is a good burger and one that out-tastes other fast food burger options around. Soft drinks and beer are available.
