The original Rocky’s first opened its doors in 1937 in Brooklyn, staffed almost entirely by family members. They relocated to Atlanta in the mid-’70s and quickly carved out a slice of the pie business here. The wood-burning ovens create one of the best, most distinctive pizzas in town. Big booths, reproduction Tiffany lampshades and hand-painted scribbles on the plaster walls make for an eclectic environment. There are plenty of pasta choices, but we prefer the pies or a calzone stuffed with salami, prosciutto, pepperoni and cheese.
