Exposed brick walls with elegant columns of back-lit gold lamé draped between rich wood set the tone of this SoMa hot spot for dinner and DJs. Rich fabric covers long banquettes, candles sparkle, and a jazz band plays every night in the dining room. East-West fusion cocktails abound like the lychee Collins and a passion fruit-infused mojito. Champagne is abundant thanks to the availability of five styles of caviar and their classic accompaniments. The menu is a contemporary blend of Burmese, French and Japanese. Roasted green tea leaves, toasted garlic, green papaya and ground shrimp star in the traditional Burmese-style salads. The East-West fusion can also be seen in the coconut curry lobster bisque that is delicately crowned with Tobiko caviar. Sushi rolls dominate the small plates list. The entrées list offers roasted chicken cloaked in mango chutney and seafood risotto infused with curry. Desserts finish the theme nicely with a generous scoop of coconut ice cream melting against a still warm chocolate cake. The top floor offers music and dancing until 4 a.m.
