THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Rooster Restaurant Review:

Rooster has sprung up in what used to be a Victorian house near the downtown area, and our single favorite thing about it (except for the food) is the super private room (it comfortably seats about 12) that directly overlooks the bustle of the kitchen. It’s a great spot for a meeting or a private party; but we admit we’re also partial to the enclosed patio area. The Southern-based menu ranks high with comfort food-horseradish mashed potatoes, cracklings, grits, chicken and dumplings and so much more. While the spelling errors on the menu itch our journalistic soul, we respect the chef and we love his red cabbage/apple coleslaw.
