THIS ESTABLISHMENT IS CLOSED An open kitchen may not be the key to success, but it comes into play at this restaurant. Flame-grilled chicken is the raison d'être here, at remarkably reasonable prices: from £5.75 for a quarter of a chicken, and £8.25 for a half. Gratin dauphinoise is a treat with the bird; otherwise, try the good frites. There's more here, too, in the form of Caesar salad, lamb or duck, plus desserts like chocolate mousse and Ben & Jerry's ice creams. The take-away keeps the places even busier.
