![]() Rouge et Blanc Restaurant Review: Low-key and understated in its approach, this restaurant on the border of Greenwich Village and SoHo is a charming place for a date or even just a nice conversation. Though the menu doesn’t read overtly French-Vietnamese, the influences are there. Standout plates include the delicate meaty lamb ribs paired with eggplant confit, and egg-topped duck confit. The restaurant excels at surf ‘n’ turf combinations, especially the bone marrow and baby octopus and the pork belly and shrimp dishes. Save room for dessert, particularly the caramelized foie gras or, for something lighter, the mango-spiked coconut tofu. The long and well-curated all-French wine list will leave a pleasant taste on your palate. |
