| All the classic French touches like fine wines, exquisite sauces and French-press coffee with homemade dessert can be yours at this contemporary American bistro. It's a seductive little spot with a dining room wrapped in mirrors and washed in beautiful shades of wine red. On the menu, seafood shines. Paris-born chef Edelberto Goncalves creates such luxuries as ultra-fresh lobster, sturgeon and salmon napped in full-flavored yet light sauces. Tasty starters include the duck confit with goat cheese tart and the corn and vanilla bean salad with lump crab meat. The brief, frequently changing menu might also feature creative risottos and, for carnivores, marinated lamb loin with merguez sausage or a petit filet with black bean succotash. Desserts are the stuff of happy memories---like white-chocolate croissant bread pudding sitting in a pool of dark chocolate sauce, garnished with raspberries. |
