| This cozy restaurant with its charming tea room atmosphere offers an array of Thai specialties prepared with 100 percent vegetable oil and no MSG. Among tasty appetizers are the pork or chicken satays with curry peanut sauce and cucumber salad, and deep-fried chicken wings stuffed with clear noodles and vegetables served with sweet and sour sauce. We like the plar goong---a salad of grilled shrimp with fresh garden spices, lettuce, hot pepper and lime juice. The extensive selection of noodle and rice dishes includes the national dish---Siam pad thai prepared with chicken, beef, pork or shrimp. Royal Thai does a homey, comforting version of chicken basil, or pad kapow, and will prepare it "Thai spicy" if you so choose. Lunch specials are served with steamed rice and an egg roll. Thai tea ice cream and Thai iced coffee or tea are among palate refreshers. |
