This Roy's outpost at Anaheim's GardenWalk, which is located across the street from the Anaheim Convention Center and The Disney Resort, is a welcome asset to Anaheim's dining scene. Especially good for business crowds and groups, the restaurant offers a rather large private room for dinner meetings and is also a fine place for solo diners to eat in the lounge or at the sushi bar. The interior wonâ€™t transport you to Honolulu with its minimalist dÃ©cor, but itâ€™s certainly a good place to relax and get away from the hordes of tourists and conventioneers in this part of town. Donâ€™t miss starting with one of Royâ€™s specialty cocktails such as the Hawaiian martini, which is made by infusing fresh pineapple for days with a blend of Skyy, Stoli Vanil and Malibu Rum. Royâ€™s three-course prix-fixe menu starts with a sampler of signature appetizers, gives you a choice of five classic entrÃ©es and ends with a chocolate soufflÃ© or macadamia nut tart. But most come here for the super fresh fish prepared with bold Asian spices and served with European-style sauces, like the blackened ahi in a spicy soy mustard butter. The wines are mostly first-rate and thereâ€™s quite a large by-the-glass selection.
