Aloha, Roy's. Internationally renowned Roy Yamaguchi has replicated his Roy's in Honolulu, featuring spacious dining rooms, a relaxing lounge area and an outdoor dining patio. The décor, reminiscent of the romance and comfort of airy Pacific Rim homes, includes tile floors, an exposed wood and woven sea grass ceiling and wrought iron fixtures softened by bright purple and green fabric. The appealing wine list has been assembled to harmonize with the unique flavor profiles of Roy’s cuisine. Among Roy’s original signature Hawaiian fusion classic dishes is blackened island ahi in a spicy hot soy-mustard butter sauce, offered as both appetizer and entrée, or the canoe appetizer, a pupu platter of coconut shrimp, spring rolls, ribs, grilled shishito peppers and blackened ahi, meant to be shared. Signature entrées include hibachi-style grilled South American salmon with cucumber-daikon salad and roasted macadamia island mahi mahi with Maine lobster brandy cream. Roy’s signature hot, dark chocolate soufflé is among sweet temptations.
