THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Roy's Restaurant Review:
Internationally renowned Roy Yamaguchi extended his “e komo mai” (welcome) to guests with the second Las Vegas location of his eponymous restaurant. The interior features dark woods, Japanese paintings hanging from the ceilings, and Roy's signature exhibition kitchen that spans the length of the spacious dining room. Crunchy golden lobster pot stickers and wood-grilled, Szechuan-spiced ribs are among favorite starters. We like Roy's original blackened ahi and the roasted macadamia-crusted mahi mahi with Maine lobster essence. Sushi and sashimi are also available. Go for the surf 'n' turf --- grilled filet mignon and teppanyaki shrimp with Yukon mash and shiso béarnaise. Imaginative preparations include Thai-style chicken and braised short ribs with honey mustard braising sauce. Roy's signature dessert is the melting dark chocolate soufflé with vanilla ice cream. The wine list is complemented by specialty drinks such as the Hawaiian martini with Maui pineapple drenched in SKYY Vodka, Stoli Vanilla and Malibu Coconut Rum.
