Internationally renowned Roy Yamaguchi extended his e komo mai (welcome) to guests with the opening of his second Las Vegas location. The stunning eatery features dark woods, Japanese paintings hanging from the ceilings, and Roy's signature exhibition kitchen that spans the length of the spacious dining room. His array of sushi and sashimi is legendary. Coconut-crusted shrimp sticks and wood-grilled Szechuan baby-back ribs are among favorite starters. We like Roy's original blackened Island ahi tuna and the roasted macadamia-crusted whitefish with lobster-Cognac sauce. Go for the surf 'n' turf---teppanyaki seared tiger prawns and oak-grilled petite filet with Pommery mustard-Cabernet sauce. Imaginative preparations of beef include Hawaiian rustic rubbed Black Angus rib-eye with portobello mushroom-whiskey pan sauce. Roy's signature dessert is his melting hot dark chocolate soufflé with vanilla ice cream. His award-winning wine list is complemented by specialty beverages such as Lava Flow with Bacardi rum, coconut and cream, pineapple juice and a lava flow of strawberries.
