 Ruth's Chris Steak House Restaurant Review: Guests at the upscale Loews Vanderbilt hotel need only walk downstairs to dine at this link in a national chain known for its sizzling steaks. It’s also right across the street from Vanderbilt University. Ruth's Chris serves potatoes seven ways, from mashed to shoestring, and there’s a sweet potato offering. Of the lot, we suggest the au gratin, loaded with cream and cheese, but the Lyonnaise is worth a try, too. There’s plenty of seafood to whet saltwater appetites, such as a whole Maine lobster and a plate of barbecued shrimp. The wine list is decent but nothing to crow about; you’ll find something nice to complement your beef for sure. Bread pudding with whiskey sauce is a must for dessert, or maybe the banana cream pie. Why not both? |
