 Prime USDA beef and a first-rate location are the hallmarks of the Philly outpost of this well-known chain. Ideally situated for access to theater and concerts, Ruth's Chris serves butter-drenched steaks and generous vegetable portions that have made it famous from coast-to-coast. The service is fairly automatic, because so many of the patrons, either tourists or expense account guys, have either a play or a meeting to catch. They're not blazing any culinary trails here, but then, why should they? There's no reason to mess with a great steak seared at blazing temperatures and a giant baked potato.
